Authorities in Ohio are actively searching for a 7-year-old girl who was abducted on Friday. The Amber Alert for the missing girl remains active as law enforcement teams continue their investigation.

The girl, identified as Emily Jones, was last seen playing in her backyard in the city of Athens, Ohio, on Friday afternoon. Her parents reported her missing around 6:00 PM after they couldn't find her anywhere on their property or in the surrounding area.

Investigators believe that Emily may have been abducted by a stranger. They have released a description of the suspect, described as a white male in his 30s, with brown hair and a goatee. He was seen driving a dark-colored SUV.

Law enforcement agencies from multiple counties are assisting in the search for Emily. They have conducted extensive ground searches, as well as aerial searches using helicopters and drones.
