Amber Alert Issued in Ohio After Child Abduction

Authorities searching for missing 3-year-old girl

Police suspect foul play, issue urgent plea for public assistance

Law enforcement officials in Ohio have issued an Amber Alert after a 3-year-old girl was abducted from her home on Monday evening. The child, identified as Sarah Jones, was last seen playing in the backyard of her residence in the city of Springfield. Her parents realized she was missing around 7:00 pm and immediately contacted the authorities.

According to the police, Sarah was abducted by a white male suspect between the ages of 25 and 30. The suspect is described as having a thin build, short brown hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a silver sedan with an unknown license plate number.

Investigators suspect foul play and are urging the public to be on the lookout for Sarah and the suspect. They have released a photograph of Sarah and the suspect's vehicle in the hope that someone may recognize them and provide information leading to their whereabouts.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for Sarah, which means that law enforcement agencies across the state are actively searching for her. The alert has also been shared with surrounding states in case the suspect has fled Ohio.

Anyone with information about Sarah's whereabouts or the suspect is urged to contact the Springfield Police Department at (937) 324-7680 or call 911.
