College Basketball: Baylor, Arkansas, Auburn Rise in Latest AP Top 25

Baylor Takes Top Spot, Arkansas Jumps to No. 3

The latest Associated Press Top 25 college basketball poll, released on Monday, saw some significant movement in the rankings, with Baylor claiming the top spot and Arkansas making a big jump to No. 3.

Baylor's Dominant Run Continues

Baylor, led by All-American candidate Jared Butler, has been on a tear since losing to Kansas on December 12. The Bears have reeled off seven straight wins, including impressive victories over Texas and West Virginia.

Their most recent triumph came on Saturday, when they dominated No. 12 Oklahoma State 83-69. Butler led the way with 25 points and six assists, while MaCio Teague added 20 points.

Arkansas Impresses with Big Wins

Arkansas has also been impressive in recent weeks, winning five of their last six games. Their most notable victories came against ranked opponents Tennessee and Alabama.

The Razorbacks, led by sophomore guard Moses Moody, defeated Alabama 97-85 on Saturday in a high-scoring affair. Moody poured in 30 points, while Jalen Tate added 23.

Other Notable Changes

In addition to Baylor and Arkansas, other teams made significant moves in the poll. Auburn moved up two spots to No. 7 after beating Kentucky and Florida. Michigan climbed four spots to No. 10, while Duke fell four spots to No. 14.
