Ex-serviceman Shoots 10 Students, Staff At School
Suspect was reportedly upset over 'treatment of black students'
At least 10 people were shot and killed Tuesday morning by an ex-serviceman who opened fire at a school in Central Texas, according to law enforcement sources.
The suspect, identified as 34-year-old David Chou, was taken into custody after the shooting at the Southwest Preparatory School in Fairfield, Texas. According to the sources, Chou--who is not a student or employee at the school--was upset about the school's treatment of black students, prompting him to go there with two handguns and 15 magazines.
The victims include eight students and two staff members. The students were all between the ages of 13 and 18. Sources added that Chou fired randomly at students and staff, and even chased one girl down a hallway before shooting her.
Two victims were airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition Tuesday afternoon, and the conditions of the other victims remained unknown.
