Family and friends are seeking answers about what happened to a highly decorated combat veteran who was last seen on the Big Island in 2023.
Keolamau, a 43-year-old Native Hawaiian who also goes by the nickname "Shane," was reported missing by his family on Jan. 19, 2023. He was last seen on the Big Island on Dec. 26, 2022.
Keolamau's family is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to his safe return.
Keolaumau, who retired from the Army in 2020, is a decorated combat veteran.
He served two tours of duty in Iraq and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart, and the Army Commendation Medal with Valor.
He also served as a combat medic and a member of the U.S. Army's Golden Knights parachute team.
Loved ones describe Keolamau as a caring and compassionate person.
He is a devoted father of three children and a loving husband.
His family is worried about his well-being and is asking for the public's help in finding him.
The Hawaii Police Department is investigating Keolamau's disappearance.
