Jacobs Leads Balanced Scoring Attack
Honolulu, Hawaii - Akira Jacobs scored 20 points to lead the University of Hawaii men's basketball team to a 96-61 victory over Life Pacific University on Wednesday night at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
The Warriors (8-2) were in control from the opening tip, shooting 57.1% from the field and hitting 10 three-pointers. Jacobs was 8-of-12 from the field, including 4-of-6 from three-point range. He also added five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Hawaii had four other players score in double figures. Kamaka Hepa scored 16 points, Noel Coleman added 15 points, and Zigmars Raimo and Bernardo da Silva each chipped in 10 points.
Life Pacific (3-6) was led by Jordan Simpson's 16 points. The Warriors held the Warriors to 38.2% shooting from the field and forced 17 turnovers.
Hawaii will return to action on Saturday, December 10, when they host the University of San Diego at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. HST.
