The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors men's basketball team rallied from a 13-point second-half deficit to defeat Life Pacific University 68-61 on Monday night at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
Benny Manual led the way for Hawaii with a team-high 19 points. Jerome Desrosiers added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks, while Noel Coleman chipped in 11 points.
Life Pacific was led by Brandon Williams' 18 points. Cameron Matthews added 13 points, and Roscoe Davis II had 10 points.
The Warriors trailed by 13 points with 13:47 remaining in the second half, but they chipped away at the lead and eventually took the lead for good on a jumper by Manual with 5:26 remaining.
Hawaii held on to the lead down the stretch and secured the victory with a pair of free throws by Coleman with 11 seconds remaining.
The Warriors improved to 2-4 on the season, while Life Pacific fell to 2-4.
