Hawaii's Rainbow Warriors Win Fourth Straight Preseason Game with Blowout of Life Pacific
Warriors Roll Past Division II Warriors
The University of Hawaii men's basketball team improved its preseason record to 4-0 with a dominant 104-57 win over Division II Life Pacific University on Saturday night at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
Hawaii led by just five points at the break, but opened the second half on a 20-2 run to take control of the game. The Warriors shot 55.2% from the field and made 11 three-pointers to pull away.
Kamaka Hepa Leads the Way
Guard Kamaka Hepa led the way for Hawaii with 20 points and six assists. Forward Bernardo da Silva added 18 points and seven rebounds, while guard Noah Allen chipped in 17 points.
Life Pacific was led by guard Cameron Burton, who scored 15 points. Forward David Humphries added 13 points.
Defense Shines in Second Half
Hawaii's defense was impressive in the second half, holding Life Pacific to just 29.2% shooting from the field. The Warriors also forced 14 turnovers.
The win was a good tune-up for Hawaii, which opens its regular season on Nov. 7 against Chaminade University.

"I was really happy with our effort in the second half," Hawaii coach Eran Ganot said. "We came out with a lot of energy and intensity and we were able to get some easy baskets. That was the difference in the game."
"We're still a young team, but we're learning and growing every game," Hepa said. "I think we're starting to figure out how to play together and we're starting to gel as a team."
