Glimpse into the 53rd edition of IFFI
The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is an annual film festival held in the beach state of Goa, India. Established in 1952, IFFI is one of the most prestigious film festivals in Asia. The 53rd edition of IFFI will be held from 20th to 28th November 2024 in Panaji, Goa.
Curtain Raiser Press Conference
The curtain raiser press conference for the 53rd IFFI was held on 9th February 2023 in New Delhi. The press conference was addressed by the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, and other senior officials from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
During the press conference, the Union Minister announced that the 53rd IFFI will showcase over 700 films from over 75 countries. The festival will also host a number of special events, including a tribute to legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray, and a retrospective of Indian cinema.
The 53rd IFFI will also see the launch of a new initiative, the Indian Film Bazaar. The Indian Film Bazaar is a platform for filmmakers from India and around the world to connect with each other and explore co-production opportunities.
