Jeremy Annis Joins Dow Jones & Co. as New Chief Executive Officer
Former CEO of Long Ridge Equity Partners to Oversee Dow Jones's Business Strategy
Dow Jones & Company, the publisher of the Wall Street Journal, has appointed Jeremy Annis as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. Annis will be responsible for leading the company's overall business strategy and operations. He succeeds Almar Latour, who stepped down from the role in December 2022.
An Experienced Leader in the Financial Industry
Annis has over two decades of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining Dow Jones, he was the CEO of Long Ridge Equity Partners LLC, a private equity firm focused on investing in technology and financial services companies. Before that, he held senior positions at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
Annis's appointment comes as Dow Jones faces increasing competition from digital news outlets and other financial information providers. The company has been investing heavily in its digital presence in recent years, and Annis is expected to continue this push.
Dow Jones's Focus on Quality Journalism
In a statement, Annis said he is "honored" to lead Dow Jones and is committed to the company's mission of delivering "high-quality, independent journalism." He added that he believes the company's "strong brand and talented team" will enable it to continue to thrive in the future.
Dow Jones & Company is a global provider of financial news and information. The company's flagship publication, the Wall Street Journal, is one of the world's most widely read newspapers. Dow Jones also operates a number of other financial news websites and services, including MarketWatch and Barron's.
