Latina To Be Celebrated During Phoenix Veterans Day Parade

Esperanza “Hope” Salazar will be celebrated during Phoenix Veterans Day parade. The parade will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 11:00 AM. It will start at Central Avenue and Montebello Avenue and end at Central Avenue and Camelback Road.
Salazar is a US Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. She was a member of the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) and she worked as a medical assistant. After her service, she went on to have a successful career in nursing and healthcare.
