Naidu Sees AP Becoming India’s Maldives
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said the state has the potential to become the Maldives of India.
Naidu, who was addressing a meeting of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) cadre in Visakhapatnam, said that Andhra Pradesh has a long coastline and beautiful beaches that can be developed into world-class tourist destinations.
He said that the state government should focus on developing the tourism sector and creating jobs for the local people.
Naidu also said that the TDP will fight against the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government's "anti-people" policies.
He said that the YSRCP government has failed to fulfill its promises and has only increased the burden on the people.
Naidu urged the TDP cadre to work hard and ensure the party's victory in the next elections.
