New Rochester Barbershop Offering Free Haircuts to Military Members on Veterans Day

Rochester’s newest barbershop is showing its appreciation for those who have served.

The Barbershop on Main is offering free haircuts to all military members on Veterans Day, November 11th. The shop is located at 123 Main Street in downtown Rochester.

Owner and barber Mike Smith said he wanted to do something special for veterans to show his appreciation for their service.

“I know a lot of veterans don’t have a lot of money, so I wanted to give them a little something back,” Smith said.

Smith said he expects to give out about 100 free haircuts on Veterans Day. He said he will be working with other local businesses to provide food and drinks for the veterans as well.

Smith said he hopes that other businesses in Rochester will follow his lead and offer discounts or free services to veterans on Veterans Day.

“It’s a small way to show our appreciation for their service,” Smith said.

Veterans who want to take advantage of the free haircuts should bring their military ID to The Barbershop on Main on Veterans Day. The shop will be open from 9am to 5pm.
