Saint Peter's vs Rutgers Prediction, College Basketball Picks 11/11/24
Can Saint Peter's Prove They're for Real?
Saint Peter's made one of the most incredible runs in NCAA Tournament history last March, and now they'll look to prove it wasn't a fluke when they take on Rutgers on Friday, November 11th.
The Peacocks, who are coming off a 20-12 season, return almost their entire lineup from that magical run, including leading scorer Doug Edert and Defensive Player of the Year KC Ndefo.
Rutgers Returns Some Experience
Rutgers, meanwhile, is coming off a disappointing 15-18 season, but they do return some experience, including leading scorer Caleb McConnell and 6'8" forward Cliff Omoruyi.
The Scarlet Knights also have a new coach in Steve Pikell, who will look to turn things around after a tough debut season.
Prediction
This is a tough game to call, as both teams have their strengths and weaknesses.
Saint Peter's has the experience, but Rutgers has the size and athleticism.
In the end, we think Saint Peter's will be able to pull out a close win, but it will be a tough game.
Saint Peter's 75, Rutgers 72
