Spirit Airlines Plans to Restart Flights to Haiti
New Service to Port-au-Prince to Begin in May
Spirit Airlines has announced plans to restart flights to Haiti. The new service will operate between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Toussaint Louverture International Airport (PAP) in Port-au-Prince. The flights will begin on May 5, 2023, and will operate twice weekly. "We are excited to announce the resumption of our service to Haiti," said Spirit Airlines President and CEO Ted Christie. "We know that there is a strong demand for travel between the United States and Haiti, and we are pleased to be able to offer our customers a convenient and affordable option."
The new service will be operated by Spirit Airlines' fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft. The flights will depart from FLL on Mondays and Fridays at 8:05 AM and arrive in PAP at 9:20 AM. The return flights will depart from PAP on Mondays and Fridays at 10:05 AM and arrive in FLL at 11:20 AM. "We are confident that our new service to Haiti will be a success," said Christie. "We look forward to serving the Haitian community and providing them with a convenient and affordable way to travel to the United States."
