Las Vegas events and businesses honor those who served on Veterans Day
Las Vegas will celebrate Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, with free meals, discounts, ceremonies and more. Here's a rundown of services and offers available to veterans and active military members:
Free meals
- Ellis Island Casino, 3850 Koval Ln., is offering a free breakfast, lunch or dinner to veterans and active military members from 8 a.m. to midnight.
- The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod, 2000 Las Vegas Blvd. S., will offer a free meal to veterans and active military members at its Top of the World restaurant from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Red Lobster, multiple locations, will offer a free appetizer or dessert to veterans and active military members with a valid military ID.
- Black Bear Diner, multiple locations, will offer a free meal to veterans and active military members with a valid military ID.
- Denny's, multiple locations, will offer a free Grand Slam breakfast to veterans and active military members from 5 a.m. to noon.
Discounts
- The National Atomic Testing Museum, 755 E. Flamingo Rd., will offer free admission to veterans and active military members.
- The Mob Museum, 300 Stewart Ave., will offer a 50% discount on admission to veterans and active military members.
- The Neon Museum, 770 Las Vegas Blvd. N., will offer a 20% discount on admission to veterans and active military members.
- The High Roller, 3545 S. Las Vegas Blvd., will offer a 20% discount on tickets to veterans and active military members.
- The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod, 2000 Las Vegas Blvd. S., will offer a 20% discount on tickets to the SkyPod to veterans and active military members.
Ceremonies
- The City of Las Vegas Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr., at 11 a.m.
- The Clark County Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy., at 11 a.m.
- The Henderson Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at the Henderson Multigenerational Center, 250 S. Green Valley Pkwy., at 11 a.m.
Other offerings
- The USO of Nevada will be hosting a Veterans Day celebration at the USO Warrior and Family Center, 6950 W. Sunset Rd., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include food, games, activities and more.
- The Veterans Village of Las Vegas will be hosting a Veterans Day barbecue at the Veterans Village, 1600 Desert Inn Rd., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will include food, music, games and more.
