Veterans Day events in Spokane honor local heroes
Spokane, WA - November 11, 2023
Spokane will honor its veterans with a variety of events on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2023.
The day will begin with a breakfast at the Spokane Convention Center from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The breakfast is free for all veterans and their families.
Following the breakfast, there will be a parade that will begin at 11 a.m. at the corner of Spokane Falls Boulevard and Division Street. The parade will travel east on Spokane Falls Boulevard to Washington Street, then south on Washington Street to Main Avenue, and finally west on Main Avenue to the Spokane Convention Center.
Afternoon events
In the afternoon, there will be a resource fair at the Spokane Convention Center from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The resource fair will feature a variety of organizations that provide services to veterans, including the Veterans Administration, the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Spokane Veterans Center.
There will also be a free concert at the Spokane Convention Center from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The concert will feature a variety of local musicians, and all proceeds will benefit the Spokane Veterans Center.
The day will conclude with a fireworks display at Riverfront Park at 8 p.m. The fireworks display is free to the public, and it is a great way to show appreciation for the men and women who have served our country.

In addition to the events listed above, there will also be a number of other events taking place in Spokane on Veterans Day.
- The Spokane Veterans Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum is located at 200 S. Washington Street, and it features exhibits on the history of veterans in Spokane.
- The Spokane County Library District will be hosting a variety of events at its branches throughout the day. These events will include story times, crafts, and movies.
- The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture will be offering free admission to veterans and their families all day. The museum is located at 2316 W. First Avenue, and it features exhibits on the art and culture of the Northwest.
