Spirit Airlines flight hit by gunfire
A Spirit Airlines flight from Dallas to Baltimore was forced to make an emergency landing after being hit by gunfire. The plane landed safely at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and no one was injured.
The FBI is investigating the incident and so far has not released any information about who may have fired the shots.
Arizona election results
In Arizona, election officials have released the latest results of the 2022 midterm elections.
In the governor's race, Republican Kari Lake is leading Democrat Katie Hobbs by a margin of just over 11,000 votes. However, with many votes still uncounted, the race is still too close to call.
In the Senate race, Democrat Mark Kelly has defeated Republican Blake Masters by a margin of over 5 percentage points. Kelly's victory gives Democrats a 51-49 majority in the Senate.
