The Detroit Pistons’ NBA G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise, is making waves by sending multiple players and their head coach to the NBA.
Coach DJ Atkinson, who led the Cruise to the G League championship in 2021, has been hired as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets.
Additionally, two Cruise players, guard Saben Lee and forward Isaiah Livers, have earned 10-day contracts with the Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks, respectively.
