Vance congratulates Miller on new Trump administration position
Miller to Serve as Senior Advisor for Policy and Strategy
Governor Mike Vance congratulated former state representative and Shelby County Commissioner David Miller on his new position as Senior Advisor for Policy and Strategy in the Trump administration. Miller will be responsible for developing and implementing policies that advance the President's agenda. He will also work closely with other senior staff members to ensure that the administration's policies are effectively implemented.
“David Miller is a talented and experienced public servant who will be a valuable asset to the Trump administration,” Vance said. “I am confident that he will serve the President and the American people with distinction.”
Miller served in the Tennessee House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019. He was a member of the House Finance, Ways and Means, and Health Committees. Miller also served as Chairman of the House Insurance and Banking Subcommittee. In 2018, he was elected to the Shelby County Commission, where he served as Chairman of the Commission's Budget Committee.
Miller is a graduate of the University of Memphis and the University of Tennessee College of Law. He is married and has two children.
