Veterans Day is a time to honor and thank the brave men and women who have served our country. This year, there are many events and happenings around Central Minnesota to commemorate their service and sacrifice.

Events in St. Cloud

• The St. Cloud VA Health Care System will host a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center.

• The St. Cloud American Legion Post 76 will hold a Veterans Day parade at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 11. The parade will start at the American Legion Post and end at the Stearns County Courthouse.

• The St. Cloud VFW Post 428 will host a Veterans Day dinner at 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the VFW Post. The dinner is free for veterans and their families.

Events in Sartell

• The Sartell American Legion Post 277 will hold a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the Sartell American Legion Post.

• The Sartell VFW Post 8095 will host a Veterans Day dinner at 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the VFW Post. The dinner is free for veterans and their families.

Events in Sauk Rapids

• The Sauk Rapids American Legion Post 254 will hold a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the Sauk Rapids American Legion Post.

• The Sauk Rapids VFW Post 6992 will host a Veterans Day dinner at 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the VFW Post. The dinner is free for veterans and their families.

Other Events Around Central Minnesota

• The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs will host a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

• The College of St. Benedict and St. John's University will host a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the SJU Quad in Collegeville.

• The city of Alexandria will host a Veterans Day ceremony at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the Alexandria Veterans Memorial Park.
